The unprecedented health emergency situation caused by COVID-19 lead to the cancellation of the European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ECCMID), same as many other public events. After cancelling an alternatively proposed virtual segment of the event as well, the organisation committee decided to publish a book of abstracts containing the scientific work submitted to the Congress.

This book has now been released with the participation of DRIVE Project on it. Under the coordination of P95, DRIVE published an abstract on “Influenza vaccine effectiveness against laboratory-confirmed influenza in Europe: results from DRIVE network 2018/19” (Pg. 601).

More than 10.000 abstracts where presented and included on this online publication. The organisation committee is already preparing the 31st ECCMID edition that will take place on 10 – 13 April 2021 Vienna, Austria.
